Another Editing Day!

Last class, we focused on adding the titles and suspenseful music. I found a variety of fonts to choose from for out titles. As for our music, we had to find free no copyright music. Today, we needed to cut some of the footage because the movie was past the limit. In total, the duration of the beginning of the film was over 2 minutes. Our goal was to get the film to at least two minutes on the dot. So, we had to shorten a lot of the scenes in order to get to that time. At some point, we had to make adjustments by deleting some of the scenes from our storyboard because they took up alot of the time. Kaliyah and Chad worked together on cutting the footage.

While Kaliyah and Chad were working, Karin and I started thinking about transitions to add into the film. We looked on Pinnacle Studios. For more insight, we looked on Youtube, for examples on how to use transitions on the software. We were interested on a few transitions. Some of these transitions were shattered glass, dissolve, black horizontal, and clock wipe. She also looked onto the sound effects that the software had to offer. After listening to a few, we were not intrigued by what they had. The sound effects were either exagerated or did not sound realistic. However, we came across one that we may consider which was the "Door close' sound effect.
